Dr. Pam Twidwell has been named Assistant Superintendent for Operations for the Mid-Del School District. Twidwell joins the Mid-Del Team with over thirty years of experience as an educator and administrator. Dr. Twidwell will be taking the reigns from Larry Springfield, former Assistant Superintendent of Operations, who is retiring after forty years of service to Mid-Del Schools.
In addition to serving as teacher, principal, administrator and Superintendent of rural, suburban and urban schools, Dr. Twidwell spent nineteen years with U.S. Department of Education. As a National Consultant for the U.S. Department of Education, Dr. Twidwell visited over 100 schools to examine and document exemplary, research-based school improvement programs. She belongs to numerous professional organizations and has been a featured speaker at conferences across the nation.
Twidwell's most recent position was Director of Educational Services School Project Manager for Renaissance Architects for the past three years. Her prior educational service includes:
Oklahoma City Public Schools from 1973-1990: Elementary and Middle School Teacher; Special Education Teacher; Middle School and High School Principal; Central Office Administrator - Director of High Schools and Adult Education; and served as School Board Member
Talequah Public Schools 1990-1998: Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Personnel, Federal Programs, Guidance & Counseling Services and Special Education
Deer Creek Public Schools from 1998-2004: Superintendent
