Today, we celebrate the incredible impact of parents, guardians, and families who partner with our schools to support student success. Your involvement—whether volunteering, attending school events, helping with homework, or simply encouraging your child’s learning journey—makes a difference. We're building a brighter future for every student, one step at a time together. We have an exciting opportunity for our families through a series called Engage: Parenting with Purpose sessions.
We invite you to attend Engage: Parenting with Purpose, a series designed to equip parents with effective strategies for fostering connection and empowerment in their relationships with their children.
When: January 21st, 6:00–8:00 PM
Where: The Learning Services Center, 4731 Judy Dr. Oklahoma City, OK 73115
This eight-week program consists of two-hour sessions each week, focused on parenting approaches that strengthen the parent-child bond. During our time together, we will explore a variety of corrective strategies that promote positive communication and healthy discipline, while offering practical tools to help guide your child through life's challenges.

The Carl Albert High School Titans Experienced the Journey of Hope.
Carl Albert High School 9th grade students had the incredible opportunity to hear from Mr. Richard Williams, a survivor of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. His story, “A Day of Darkness – Years of Light,” reflects on resilience, hope, and healing.
The connection to Mid-Del runs deep: Mr. Williams' wife, Lynn, worked for Mid-Del Schools, and their son, Aaron, was a student at Carl Albert High School during the time of the bombing.
Legislators representing Oklahoma County joined this powerful event to honor the family members of those lost, survivors, and the first responders from Midwest City who exemplified extraordinary bravery in the face of tragedy.
About the Program:
The Journey of Hope, an initiative by the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, is traveling to all 77 counties in Oklahoma as part of the 30th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. This program shares vital lessons about the impact of violence and the importance of hope, using archival footage from the Museum. Recommended for students 6th grade and older, it ensures that the story and its enduring messages reach the next generation.

We will have a Resource Drop Off Station on Tuesday, November 5th from 10am-6pm at the Mid-Del Administration Building located at 7217 S.E. 15th Street in Midwest City. We will be accepting items listed in the graphic as well as gift cards for families.
