Fifth Grade students at Townsend Elementary have been working diligently on a service project during their recess and at home. Using donated yarn and knitting looms, they are making nests, joey pouches, and blankets for the many animals injured in the Australian wildfires. They are also making hats for Infant Crisis Services, children with cancer, and the homeless. All of these students have volunteered their time to help others and we couldn't be prouder of them! Way to go, Townsend Tigers! #mdpurpose
