A friendly reminder for next week:
ACT testing will be on Wednesday, April 5th. Students must be at the school no later than 8am, and will last until 2pm.
This is a graduation requirement!
We urge all students to take the test seriously, as their scores will help them get into college (for those planning on continuing their education after high school) and can be a determining factor for scholarships and financial aid opportunities. Get plenty of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and wear comfortable clothing, as all of these can help contribute toward getting the best score possible!

Spring time! Along with the trees turning green and the grass rejuvenating, it's also test time! Welcome back to school everyone. For those who need to take the ACT, mark your calendars for April 5th, with a make-up day being April 18th. Showtime will be 8am promptly.
Additionally, the History and Science test will be April 11th with April 13th being a make-up day.
We hope you're having a wonderful day, and enjoyed a relaxing spring break!

Reminder: Join us tonight! All Mid-Del students and parents are welcome to the Mid-Del Special Services Parent Resource Fair! #mdpurpose

Following the previous post, as the boys were away the girls were at play! Our remaining students worked on a small art project. The goal was to find a creative way to represent themselves, and I think it's fair to say they did a fantastic job! Using the first letter of their name, they painted/colored their unique identity. Attached are a handful of photos capturing their creativity.

Today our students were blessed with a motivational speech performed by 3 former Carl Albert/Del City students. The speakers came from OSU and OU to pass on their personal experience to our upcoming high school graduates in an attempt to share some perspectives. Their goal was to reach students who were in a similar situation as themselves. Students that don't currently have a clear direction after high school, and initially didn't plan on going to college.
Overall, we believe it was successful as the students left not only talking about it, but also approached the former students on a personal level. Attached are some photos of the presentation!
A request was made to provide a male audience, which is why our female students were not in attendance, but a similar opportunity is inbound for those left out.

We would like to take the time to remind ourselves of the sacrifices that were made, and the perseverance that was demonstrated by the black heroes of our country (heroes that helped take our country a large step closer toward freedom and equality in America). In honor of black history month, we have decorated the hallway to recall these historic individuals, and showcase how far we've come as a population. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and month of February!

We would love to thank the motivational speaker Heady Coleman for coming over to our school and speaking with our students this last Wednesday! His presentation on helping our students setting up goals/missions, and how to approach accomplishing them was very insightful. Additionally, his relatable stories and real life experiences were impactful in regards to demonstrating what everyone is capable of with enough motivation. We are grateful for your time!

Update 2-2-2023. Due to the additional precipitation that came in overnight, making early morning transportation more dangerous, Mid-Del Schools will be closed Thursday, February 2, 2023. This will be a traditional snow day. Students will not have remote learning.

Update: February 1, 2023
As of right now, we are planning to have in-person school tomorrow, February 2. The roads around here aren't perfect, but overall, we're in pretty good shape. Members of our District team will be out early in the morning driving through the district to evaluate the impact of any additional precipitation we receive overnight. According to the National Weather Service webinar from today, the chances are only slight for anything that may affect our community.
We'll make an announcement if any changes are necessary as soon as possible. Thank you and we appreciate you. #mdpurpose
