Statement from Dr. Cobb Regarding School Threats
Earlier this week, we had students from all three of our high schools attend the Easter Oklahoma County Area Wide College Fair hosted at Rose State College. Students were able to talk with over 50 colleges and universities about their future plans. We are thankful for the partnership we have with Rose State College to offer opportunities like this for our students! #mdpurpose #oklaed #OneDistrictOneFamily

Happy Constitution Day! Today we celebrate the foundation of our democracy and the principles that shape our nation. Let’s honor the document that ensures our rights and freedoms by reflecting on its significance and embracing its values. Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by thirty-nine brave men on September 17, 1787, recognizing all who are born in the U.S. or by naturalization, have become citizens. #mdpurpose

PD DAY
Mid-Del Families, We want to inform you about recent social media threats of violence directed at multiple secondary schools in the metro area and across the state. Our staff, along with local authorities, are thoroughly investigating the sources of these threats, and while they have been deemed to be of very low credibility, we feel it’s important to keep you informed. Rest assured, our schools remain safe, and all safety protocols are in place. Unfortunately, these types of social media threats have become more common, but they are still taken very seriously. Each threat will be fully investigated, and those responsible for making or sharing such threats can face severe consequences. We encourage you to talk to your student(s) about the responsible use of social media. As always, if you see something concerning, please report it to our administration immediately to ensure proper investigation. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. Thank you for your continued support. Update: At this time, no Mid-Del Schools have received a threatening message. We appreciate the families who have seen social media posts and have shared them with our schools.

Patriot Day is a national day of remembrance that commemorates the victims of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and United Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania. Established by a joint resolution of the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President George W. Bush in December 2001, Patriot Day serves as a reminder of the impact of that day on the nation and the world. It is a day for Americans to honor the memories of those who perished, to pay tribute to the bravery of the first responders, and to reflect on the values of freedom, democracy, and resilience. #PatriotDay #NeverForget
