Introducing Mr. Michael Becker as the incoming principal of Barnes Elementary starting from the upcoming school year. Mr. Becker brings with him a wealth of experience, having served as the principal of Del City Elementary for the past six years. Before his tenure at Del City Elementary, he held the position of principal at Townsend Elementary and previously served as an assistant principal at Epperly Heights Elementary. With thirty years of experience in education, all within Mid-Del Schools, Mr. Becker is a seasoned educator dedicated to fostering excellence. We bid a fond farewell to Dr. Tammy Roberson, the current principal of Barnes Elementary, who will be retiring at the end of this school year. #mdpurpose

We are proud to announce that Dr. LaShonda Broiles, Deputy Superintendent of Mid-Del Schools, has been chosen as the recipient of the Teacher Appreciation Foundation's prestigious Diamond Dignity Award. This accolade is part of TAF's 10th Annual Awards program, often dubbed as the 'Grammys' for dignitaries, educators, and support staff within the educational community. She will be recognized formally at an event in July. The Teacher Appreciation Foundation (TAF) actively involves the public in recognizing and appreciating individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication and hard work within the school system. Recipients are selected through community voting, making this award a true reflection of appreciation from those directly impacted by their efforts. Applications are now open for current Mid-Del sophomores to apply for Dr. Cobb's Superintendent's Student Advisory Board for the 2024-2025 school year. We invite current sophomores who are interested in being a part of the Superintendent's Student Advisory Board to complete and submit a SAB application online by Friday, May 3 at 12pm (noon). Students will be contacted by Friday, May 3, with an interview time for the week of May 6-10. Interviews will take place at the student’s school site. For Military Kids is a day for communities to wear purple to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices. April 10, 2024 Remote Learning Day for all Mid-Del 9th, 10th, and 12th graders. The Oklahoma State Department of Education has provided the opportunity for school districts to utilize funding for FREE ACT testing. Mid-Del will be giving a FREE ACT Test to ALL JUNIORS (and those seniors who have been notified by their sites). Due to staff needs and testing facility requirements, ALL 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students (who have not been identified to test) will have a remote learning day (will not report to their school sites) on April 10, 2024. Seniors that attend Mid-Del Technology Center will report to MDTC for your classes that day.
